Our focus is on comprehensive physical examinations for our patients at all life stages. A wellness visit includes a thorough exam, a blood test to check liver and kidney values, a heartworm test, and an internal parasite test (fecal exam). Early detection of any potential problem is vital to a successful treatment plan. We also address more complex issues such as injuries, trauma, and sudden or chronic diseases.
Together, our doctors bring more than 55 years of compassion and veterinary expertise to offer for you and your pets.

She is a lifelong resident of Rockford and credits Boylan High School for giving her a solid foundation as she entered college. Her first interest was equine medicine in the Chicago area, but then family and friends brought her back to Rockford where she built Perryville Pet Hospital in 1997. In 2018, she decided to pass on the business aspect and focus on her clients and pet care, choosing to sell PPH to Dr. Guedet and Dr. Kramer. Complete support comes from her husband Michael McGarry and her children Bridget and Michael. Michael is currently a pilot flying out of O’Hare Airport and Bridget is a veterinarian practicing at a mixed animal practice (large and small animals!) in Central IL.
